Fed-OSHA: Employer did not protect workers in trench collapse

Fed-OSHA has determined that an Schenectady contractor failed to protect employees after a trench collapse in October of 2015. Fed-OSHA has cited Plank Construction for two violations of excavation safety standards after an employee was trapped when a trench collapsed. The worker was rescued and sent to the hospital. Ohio manufacturer fined for factory noise

Fed-OSHA has levied a $77,000 fine against a yard equipment manufacturer in Willard, Ohio, over excessive factory noise that led to employees reporting hearing loss. A deadly tank collapse at a glass making plant in Lancaster, Ohio is under investigation after one man died and two others escaped unharmed.
