Fed-OSHA fines Pennsylvania employer $333K

Fed-OSHA has fined a Chester County, Pennsylvania business more than $333,000 for alleged violations including failing to implement rescue procedures for employees working in confined spaces and failing to provide them with fall protection equipment and training. Iowa worker falls to death while repairing machinery

A 47-year-old man fell to his death from a raised platform at a LeRoy, Iowa business on Monday morning, as he repaired a combine. An auger he was removing snapped, causing him to lose his footing and fall onto a cement floor with a metal grate. Austin Daily Herald

E-recordkeeping submission deadline extended to mid-December

Earlier this year, the electronic recordkeeping deadline was moved from July 1, 2017, to December 1, 2017.
