OSHA renews alliance with T&T Staff Management Inc. to promote worker safety and health

Participants: The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s El Paso Area Office and T&T Staff Management, a professional employer organization with 5,497 employees in El Paso.

Alliance description: The alliance signed Sept. 10 will renew a commitment to increase access to material and knowledge that aims to promote understanding of the workplace safety and health rights and responsibilities of workers and employers. Some of the safety and health issues that will be covered include falls from elevated work surfaces, electrocution, heat illness, exposure to hazardous chemicals, struck-by and caught-in or -between hazards*. Safety and health information will be provided in English and Spanish to construction and general industry workers with a focus on the construction industry.

Duration: Three years.

Quote: “Our joint forces will help save lives, prevent injuries and raise awareness in the construction and general industries in the El Paso community,” said Diego Alvarado Jr., OSHA’s area director in El Paso. “By recommitting to our collaborative efforts, we strengthen our ability to promote workplace safety and health and we have the ability to reach out to our Hispanic workforce.”
