Participants: The U.S. Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Little Rock Area Office and the Arkansas Chapter of the Associated General Contractors of America, a national trade association for the construction industry with approximately 200 member companies in Arkansas.
Alliance description: The strategic partnership renewed on Feb. 4 commits both parties to increase access to material and knowledge that aims to promote understanding of the workplace safety and health rights and responsibilities of workers and employers. The partnership will cover safety and health issues such as falls from elevated work surfaces, electrocution, heat illness, exposure to hazardous chemicals, struck-by and caught-in or -between hazards*. Safety and health information will be provided in English and Spanish languages to construction and general industry workers with a focus on the construction industry.
Duration: The partnership is for a three-year term.
