OSHA, Rocky Mountain Education Center renew alliance to support worker safety education throughout Colorado

Participants: The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Denver and Englewood Area Offices and the Rocky Mountain Education Center located at Red Rocks Community College in Lakewood, Colorado.

Alliance description: The department and RMEC renewed the 2010 alliance Jan. 11, 2016, to reduce and prevent exposures to a wide variety of hazards across all industry sectors throughout Colorado. OSHA and RMEC will provide employers and others with information, guidance and access to training resources that will help them protect the health and safety of workers and understand the rights of workers and the responsibilities of employers under the Occupational Safety and Health Act. The alliance was renewed at the kickoff of Safety Fest of the West, an annual training event being sponsored by the alliance partners that offers free safety and health training. Duration: The alliance has a five-year term.
