Shooting death at Atlanta restaurant prompts call to act on security, safety

Chelsea Beller, 29, was shot while working at an Atlanta wine bar on November 18. She later died at the hospital. As a direct result of the crime, the Georgia Restaurant Association hosted a January 9 seminar on best practices for restaurant security, employee safety, active shooter preparedness and effective crisis communications. Wisconsin worker injured in roof fall

A 23-year-old Wisconsin man was injured Monday after falling more than 20 feet from the roof of an apartment building in Reedsburg. According to police, he removed his safety tether to reach a section of the roof while he was sweeping snow from it. Fed-OSHA has been notified. Wisconsin State Journal

Las Vegas contractor faces lawsuit after employee’s death
