Alliance description: The alliance signed Oct. 29 will renew a commitment to material and knowledge access that aims to promote understanding of the workplace safety and health rights and responsibilities of workers and employers, including industrial and construction general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and service firms throughout Louisiana. Focus continues on reducing and preventing exposure to falls from elevated work surfaces, electrocution, heat illness, exposure to hazardous chemicals, struck-by and caught-in or -between hazards*. Throughout the duration of the agreement, OSHA will provide safety and health information in English and Spanish to construction and general industry workers.
